My favorite thing about Brazil is the abundant fresh fruit, stuff you never hear about in the States.  Shown here: figs, passionfruit juice, and <a target=\"_new\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Atemoya\"><i>atem\u00f3ia<\/i><\/a>, which is a hybrid between the <a target=\"_new\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cherimoya\"><i>cherimoya<\/i><\/a> and the <a target=\"_new\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sweetsop\"><i>pinha<\/i><\/a>. The flavor is sweet and wonderful and hard to describe, somewhere between a pear and a pineapple, and the texture is slightly chewy and fleshy like a lychee nut.
